[이솝우화] 사람과 사자 🦁 THE MAN AND THE LION 🦁 人間とライオン（にんげんとライオン）

 

사람과 사자가 함께 여행을 하며 친구가 되었다.
여정을 함께하며 그들은 서로 힘과 용기를 자랑하기 시작했고, 누가 더 강한지를 두고 뜨거운 논쟁을 벌였다.

그러던 중 그들은 길가에서 한 조각상을 보게 되었다.
그 조각상에는 사람이 사자의 목을 조르고 있었다.

"봐, 저걸 보라구!" 
사람이 의기양양하게 말했다.
"이게 바로 우리가 너희보다 강하다는 증거 아니겠어?"

그러자 사자가 대꾸했다.
"잠깐, 친구. 그건 어디까지나 너희 인간들의 시각이지.
만약 우리가 조각상을 만들 수 있다면, 대부분의 작품에서 사자가 사람을 누르고 있을 거야."

🦁 교훈:
모든 일에는 양쪽의 시각이 있다.
진실은 보는 이의 입장에 따라 달라질 수 있다.

THE MAN AND THE LION

A Man and a Lion were companions on a journey, and in the course of conversation they began to boast about their prowess, and each claimed to be superior to the other in strength and courage. 

They were still arguing with some heat when they came to a cross-road where there was a statue of a Man strangling a Lion. 

"There!" 

said the Man triumphantly, 

"look at that! Doesn't that prove to you that we are stronger than you?" 

"Not so fast, my friend," 

said the Lion: 

"that is only your view of the case. If we Lions could make statues, you may be sure that in most of them you would see the Man underneath."

    There are two sides to every question.

人間とライオン（にんげんとライオン） 🦁

ある日、人間とライオンが一緒に旅をしていた。
旅の途中、二人は自分の力と勇気を自慢し始め、どちらが強いかで熱い議論になった。

しばらくして、彼らは道ばたで一つの彫像を見つけた。
その像には、人間がライオンの首を締めている姿が彫られていた。

「見ろよ！」
と人間が誇らしげに言った。
「これが私たちの方が強いという証拠だろう？」

ライオンは静かに答えた。
「おいおい、それはあくまで君たちの視点さ。
もしライオンが像を作れるなら、ほとんどの作品で人間が下敷きになっているだろうね。」

🦁 教訓：
すべての仕事に両方の視野がある。
真実は見る人の立場によって変わることができる。
